What to Wear

The weather on the water can be surprisingly different from on land due to water temperature, winds etc. We suggest you dress in layers. Regardless of what the weather appears to be or is predicted for your sailing charter, we recommend that our guests bring the following in a soft sided bag:

For Spring and Fall Sailing

1. A sweater and windbreaker or a warm jacket.
2. If you wear shorts, bring a pair of long pants.
3. Rubber soled deck shoes or sneakers with warm sock. (Please no black soled shoes.)
4. Sunglasses with croakies.

For Summer Sailing

1. Sunglasses with croakies.
2. Sunscreen
3. Cap or Hat
4. Rubber soled deck shoes or sneakers. (Please no black soled shoes.)
5. A light sweater or windbreaker.

Our Twelve Meters carry waterproof rain gear, but if you prefer your own feel free to bring it. Sailing gloves are a good idea, though not essential. Seasickness is almost never a problem on protected Narragansett Bay, but if you feel better taking motion sickness medicine feel free, you should do so one hour before sailing.
